Achievers are crazy enough to believe they can do ANYTHING. But unbelieving people tend to avoid goals so they can sidestep the painful sting of failure. Thank God that Philippians 4:13 assures us we have the victory and the resources to achieve what is in our hearts.

Acknowledge God owns everything. Function confidently, knowing He's in control. Understand that He gives and takes away and love Him regardless. Express thanks no matter the situation. Sing and speak praises to Him in rough times just as in the good times. Are quick to obey; Bold to witness. Are quick to submit to Him and others. Are quick to forgive, and to ask forgiveness. Use our spiritual gifts; and the authority of His Name to accomplish things in our lives, and for others. Realize that worshiping Him includes our behavior and attitude as well as our prayers and singing.

"Prayer is one of the greatest and most excellent means of nourishing the new nature, and of causing the soul to flourish and prosper." These were some very meaningful words spoken by Jonathan Edwards over 200 years ago in his famous sermon on prayer. Times have changed and so has society, but Edward's message remains timeless. Prayer has not changed nor has its amazing benefits.

Our Father likes to use His nature to teach us His nature and His wisdom. He often compared men to trees. When God is for us no man can cut us down.

After Jesus’ resurrection the apostles abandoned their possessions and professions and committed the remainder of their lives to preach the gospel of Jesus. Almost all paid the ultimate price: a gruesome death. Was their faith based on fact or did they die for a lie?

Often we don't even realize what's hidden deep in our hearts. Bitter roots can run so deep and have been there for so long, we don't even recognize why we are bearing the bad fruit that seems to be poisoning our lives.

Christianity is unique among all religions. The founders of the other faiths at best claim to have revelations and be prophets, their evidences are not every convincing.

On February 27, 2000, a man I didn’t know wheeled a lady into the church auditorium. My immediate thought was, “I bet that’s Lynne.” I hadn’t met Lynne or her family, but she had been on the prayer list since the fireplace façade fell on her on Christmas Eve.

I believe dogs (and other pets) go to heaven, the night my Fluffy died he woke me up with his little legs going and a smile on his face, I don't know what he was seeing because he was seeing in that spiritual realm that our flesh eyes can't see. But he was definitely headed somewhere and was happy about it. I think sometimes our pets see with their spiritual eyes more then we do, they are not as caught up with flesh things the way we are so they are more aware of the spiritual dimension. I think these verses show that there will be animals in heaven. Their eating habits will be changed in their spirit bodies from what they are in the flesh.

Paul had received a lot of bad press over the last 2000 years. But he is quite possibly one of the most authentic Christian leaders the world has ever seen.

Our hearts are referred to in Scripture as soil. The Word of God is referred to as Seed. The condition of our hearts determine what kind of harvest we will receive from the Seed of the Word of God planted. Our hearts can become fallow ground in need of cultivating in order to produce a good harvest from the Seed sown in our hearts.

Overwhelming circumstances threaten to disrupt and evaporate our faith in God. We wonder if God is fallen asleep. Seldom does it hit us that God is engineering a face to face encounter with another person in similar situation. Vines Bible Dictionary says this "truth," is used (a) objectively, signifying "the reality lying at the basis of an appearance; the manifested, veritable essence of a matter" the truth of God" is indicative of His faithfulness in the fulfillment of His promises as exhibited in Christ; the word has an absolute force in John 14:6; 17:17; 18:37, 38; in Eph. 4:21, "truth," not merely verbal, but sincerity and integrity of character.

The Word of God about healing taken everyday like you would take medicine will heal anything that is wrong with you. But you have to take the time to put the healing scriptures in your heart till you believe them more than whatever is wrong with you.

If you've ever had a moment when you wondered just what it is that you are supposed to be doing, or you felt stuck in time and space, there is a name for that moment, it's called the meantime.

There are some pastors today within the Christian Church who are preaching that the Ten Commandments are no longer valid. Is this what the Word of God teaches?

As I sat in the pew Sunday morning, reflecting on Christ’s death, I thought of Terry Rush’s statement that non-Christians and Christians who are not led by the Spirit can exhibit some of the fruit of the Spirit, but it is only Spirit-led Christians who can demonstrate that fruit when times get tough and the heat is turned up. Then, I thought about Jesus being God and having the option of not going to the Cross.

When Christians first decided to take the pagan feast “Yule” and re-name it ‘Christmas’ they were making not only a corporate but a personal decision. They resolved that they were going to take the existing festivities and use them as an opportunity to publicly celebrate something far greater than food, drink and lights; namely, the birth of Jesus Christ – God in human form – into this earth. As a young Christian today at the build up to Christmas, I am faced with the same choice. What will I use this time of holiday and festivity to celebrate?

However, what scriptural documentation is there about Jesus Christ being of the Priest line or the tribe Levi? In The New
Testament, there are two genealogies of Jesus Christ, one in Matthew and one in Luke.

Something has happened to Holiness! In the frenzy of our activities, we don't see her around anymore. Actually, come to think about it, it look as if she has been gone a long while. We didn’t evict her; but since we only recently noticed her absence, it is evident we have neglected her. Yes, our Holiness is missing!
